An exclusive “Dolce Vita” hotel, the “Post Alpina Family Chalet” is a real gem of a hotel in Versciaco, 3.5km from San Candido. The new alpine village – with main house and 10 delightful alpine chalets – is situated at 1,150 m above sea level, among green meadows and pasturelands, and just a few minutes from the ski lifts of Monte Elmo – a paradise for hikers/ramblers/walkers, skiers, Nordic/cross-country skiers, and especially ideal for families.
With rucksack on your shoulders in summer, you are already in the heart of the Dolomites, with lots of destinations and different itineraries available, and with skis on in winter, you can go up the mountain or get on the cross-country ski track which passes in front of the Post Alpina and takes you in the direction of San Candido or Austria. An authentic alpine village of the past has been recreated with welcoming chalets; a nice blend of ancient fascination and four-star comfort.
Full of charm, the environment takes inspiration from the style and traditions of country life in the mountain. The apartments, all carefully decorated and furnished with taste, vary in size from 35 to 120 square metres, from the Familia Residence to the Chalet Montana.
“Vita Alpina”, an oasis of wellness, has a covered swimming pool directly connected to another one outside, rooms for treatments and relaxation, saunas and Kneipp treatments. Aromatic vapours with Arolla/Swiss pine essence in the bath, the renewing atmosphere of the bio-sauna or a good swim in the pool in the open-air …you choose!
And for the younger guests, it is a paradise for children: large games rooms with mini-club, a full programme of entertainment, also cows and horses to stroke in the nearby stables and barns...

A rustic breakfast service is offered, where it is sent to your apartment, afternoon snacks and pastries can be enjoyed on the sunny terrace, dinner in the restaurant or, if booked in the morning, sent “home” (to your apartment) for the microwave, when you are tired after a long day in the mountain and prefer a relaxing evening in your chalet.
